Marriage Edition!

Here is a source of contention in our marriage: How to park in the driveway.
We have a pretty large driveway. It fits two cars easily with room to spare.

This is how I park (I usually have the truck but we're borrowing my parents car for awhile since we sold the mustang!) See how I'm close to the edge with plenty of room to my right.

Here is our cars together. Notice how Jacob parks every so slightly more to the right. There's plenty of room in the middle, and on the other side of the car there is a nice section of concrete as well.

 See?

Now... Jacob consistently yells at me for parking the way I park in the first picture. In fact, I took this picture because just this morning he complained I was taking up the whole driveway and he was getting hit by the sprinklers every morning when going to work. Ha! I told him, "That's probably not gonna happen" in response to his complaining and asking me to park differently. :o)
This might be one for the marriage ref!

Second Marriage Edition:

The difference in passport pictures.

I had to make fun of Jacob's passport picture because it was taken in 2003 when he was at his skinniest point ever. He was in his first year of college at Teen Mania and looked so little. It really doesn't look like him at first glance! What do you think?

Mine was taken in 2007 and yes, maybe I was slightly heavier then. But maybe by a COUPLE pounds. I think my hair and this shirt made me look bigger than I actually was. After I made fun of Jacob's picture he looked at mine and said "Whoa! You were bigger then. Eehhh."  To which I replied, "Seriously, eeehhh!!!" Then I karate kicked him until our dog started barking at us to stop. :o) Come on men! When will you learn?

Blessings List & Vacation Time!

So in a few days we will be going to Turkey & Greece!!!  We'll be traveling with other church insurance agents/owners/etc on a 7 day Mediterranean Cruise. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It'll be our first "international" trip outside of Mexico and the Caribbean. So- LONG flights and limited communication abilities, but I think it'll be a fun time. I can't wait to walk in some of the places that people of the bible walked and talked. Especially Ephesus! You can read about the history here.

This will be our ship- the Silver Spirit. I haven't been on a ship as small as this before so I'm not sure how we'll handle the motion sickness. Hopefully it's just like being on a regular cruise ship! Supposedly these smaller ships are more luxurious and service oriented than the larger ones. I can't imagine that! I've always had the best experiences on cruises so this may top them all! Let's hope so!

Our first stop will be in Istanbul, Turkey. We actually get to stay in a Ritz Carlton hotel there- which I am stoked about! It will be amazing. Then onto Kusadasi, Turkey, next Mykanos, Santorini, Rhodes, Crete, and ends in Athens,Greece. Whew, we will be tired after all that! I will take lots of good pictures I promise. I'm hoping to be able to update during our trip but I'm not sure about the internet connections there or how much it will cost. But I will try!

I am a little worried about my current health. I'm still not feeling 100%. Even with the new medicine, which has taken the edge off a few of my side effects from the lupron, I am still tired a lot. I still get achy. And the bleeding and cramping that goes with it is actually a lot worse. Which is the main thing that really sucks when you're traveling. Or wearing white pants. Ha! Guess I'll just have to be prepared at all times! I'm just praying that it won't hinder me from having a good time or being able to do all of the site seeing we want to do. I can't be lying around in bed while we're in Greece! I'm going to try and make the most of the situation.
So say some prayers for me please!

Μέχρι την επόμενη φορά  (until next time)!
