Jack's First Year in Pictures

Today is your birthday sweet boy. So far you've had a blueberry pancake, sausage and egg breakfast with mommy and daddy, (candle included!) and opened your present from us. You had a friend over after your nap and you went to the last little bit of your cousins VBS at church to sing and dance- which you did... front and center! Lol! You'll get to open more presents from grammy and papa later today and tonight we'll be back in the pool!  

You've changed SO much this past year and yet looking back I can see your personality was shining brightly through even as a newborn! You are quite the little personality, Mr. Independent, and a social bug. Our lives were forever changed one year ago. I know it's cliche to say kids change you, but they really really do! My day is filled with trying to entertain you, finding things to make you smile or laugh and I find great joy in doing those things and seeing you light up or learn something new. It's hard to believe that we went through SO much to have you. It was all worth it.

You are no longer a "baby", and are in full blown toddler mode. 

Kinda sad, but exciting at the same time. Love you baby boo!

4th of July & Jack's First Birthday Party

We had a great 4th of July, celebrating with family and friends and ending the night watching fireworks under the stars. Jack loved the fireworks, stayed up way past his bedtime, and passed out as soon as he got in the carseat. :o)

His birthday is actually on the 9th but we celebrated this weekend with family and some friends. You never know how these things are going to turn out, but he did great and loved every bit of his party. I dont think he had any idea what the fuss was all about since he is so used to big get together's. He kept looking at everyone while he was eating his cake like "what's wrong with you guys?"! Haha!

He didnt open one single present on his own, but he played with all of his toys that were opened. And the next morning was like Christmas!

Thank you to all our friends and family who helped celebrate our little guy~ we are so blessed to share him and our lives with you!

Summer Project 1 Completed!

CHALKBOARD PROJECT

I finally got around to doing a project I've had on the back burner for awhile as I mentioned in my last post! I'm so pleased with how it turned out! It's going to be fun changing up the quotes and chalkboard sayings for different occasions. I may just have to make a few more!
