Five on Friday

I was looking back at my blog posts from last year and the year before that. I was such a better and more interesting blogger back then. I need to start working on that. I love to have memories and stories recorded so I can go back and look at them.

Anyways, linking up today with one of my favorite bloggers Megan for a random Five on Friday post! 

1.  This is our last "no big plans" weekend for the next month and a half. July and August are PACKED! We have 4th of July celebrations, swimming lessons for Jack, friends moving, vacations, birthdays- not to mention Jack's FIRST birthday, friends visiting, etc. Life. Gotta love the summers, but it does feel a bit overwhelming when I look at the calendar! Besides Jack's first birthday in July, we are going on our first big vacation without Jack. We are headed to New York for 5 nights. I dont know how I'm going to manage without him for that long. :o(


   2. The forecast for the next week here is insane! Over 100 everyday and maybe even reaching 113! Yikes! I really need to work on our backyard shade. We have no trees back there, just a lot of shrubs and flowers. Good thing my parents bought us a pop up tent.

3.  I finally got around to actually finishing a project recently! I made a chalkbaord out of an old window pane. I need to take a picture of the finished results but I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

4. I'm running out of ideas on food to feed Jack lately. He still only has two teeth so it's been a challenge to find things soft enough he can chew without feeding him the same things over and over again or making him something completely different than what we are eating.



5.  How funny is this photo?! I threw my friend Jacque and Judd a BabyQ last weekend. Since it was a couples shower I wanted the guys to get involved somehow so they had to do this game. They had to drink one ounce of water out of a baby bottle and the fastest one! It was a lot harder than it seemed! I tried to get the video of it to upload but it wouldnt for some reason.

11 Months

11 Months!

• Clothing Size: 12 month but you can still fit into most 9 month stuff
• Diaper Size: 3
• You've moved from walking to RUNNING
• You run from us now when you have something you're not supposed to or you need your diaper changed
• Still working on those two top teeth. Only two bottom ones right now!
• You dance to music- stomp your feet and turn in circles. SO adorable.
• You clap at music, when we say yay, or when you want more food
• You "shoot" at our deer head on the wall, pointing and saying "boom!" (I'm sure that freaks some of you non hunters out. ha!)
• You carry around your blanket now
• Love stuffed animals. You cuddle them and say "aah" in a cute little high voice
• You've been in the sprinklers and little pool quite a bit lately
• You must've went through a growth spurt recently because now you can reach things on my dresser and some of the shelves you haven't been able to before
• You can EAT. You just stuff the food in!
• Thanks to grandpa, dada, and aunties you are addicted to cookies and Pepsi. If you see a Pepsi bottle you drop your binky and open your mouth!
• You're very talkative
• You point at things you see or like
• Still not much of a snuggler so when you do, mommy soaks it up!

Memorial Day Camping

Friends, mushrooming, fishing, 4-wheeling and camping sums up our Memorial Day weekend! Nothing beats the 3 day weekend like a trip to the mountains!

10 Month Post

Jack turned 10 months old on the 9th. 2 more months and he will be turning the big ONE! How crazy is that? Even in the last few weeks he has grown up so much. Oh how I love him. 

10 Months Old

• You have two bottom teeth and are working on the top ones 
• You are FULLY walking now!
• You point at things you want and like
• You can clap and clap to music or when you are excited
• You've started to dance when music comes on
• You LOVE your daddy lately
• Recognizing people in pictures very well
• You get this little high pitched voice when you are being sweet
• You chatter constantly and are quite a loud little boy
• You yell and growl when you dont like something or are frustrated
• You love animals and being outside
• Cars are your favorite thing to play with
• You can say mama, dada, boom, zizzy (for Izzy), Papa, Oreo (his cousins horse)
• Still dont like going to the nursery at church
• Love playing chase
• Started to run from me when you know it's bedtime or time to change your diaper
• You HATE your diaper being changed and throw a huge fit which we have been diligently working on. Potty training may come early for you!!
• Still taking 3 naps a day
• Sleeping from 8:30-6:30
• Still drinking about 5 bottles a day
• You're laugh is so adorable and you smile easily

Jack's friend Briggin came to play this week. They are almost exactly one year apart and play really well together. They are a lot of work though! Busy, busy, busy! And always want what the other one has. Boys. Haha! 

I could never get them to sit next to each other and both look at the camera. One of these days. :o)

They sure are cute playing together though. These two are going to be trouble in High School together! 

Vacation Pictures

We took a trip to Eagle Crest Resort last weekend~ it was so much fun. Jack loved being outside and going to the park and on walks. It's hard to see his little face when he's wearing a hat... he's such a cutie and loves the camera though! I can't believe it's May already. I feel like summer is filling up already but I can't wait to go on more trips with this little guy!  

Easter Pictures

Since my computer died a few weeks ago I never got to put any of our Easter pictures up! We had a great Easter, weather was good, and the families all got together. Jack sure looks cute dressed in a tie... and he looks so great in blue!
