Hawaii Vaca=Paradise!

I'm finally getting around to posting our Hawaii pics! We had an amazing vacation just the two of us for five days. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on. Hawaii is truly a paradise, it's not just a cliche! :) We did a lot of relaxing on the beach, eating some great food, snorkeling, exploring, and even swam at NIGHT with MANTA RAY'S! Talk about a crazy experience. And besides from getting sea sick from the rough waves on that excursion it was pretty freaking cool. Our resort at Waikoloa Mariott was perfect. Right on the beach, our room had a great view of the pool and the ocea, and the pools there were awesome too.  We will definitely be going back!

Most of the waterfalls on the Big Island are on private land so you need a guide to get to them... this was my face after our guide stopped every two steps to talk about some other plant or legend of the island...

Things Never To Say To A Mom {especially a new one!}

5 Things Never To Say or Do To A New Mom... 

Part1

• Don't walk in on a mom who's trying to calm her crying/screaming child and say "Have you tried feeding him?"

• If a mom is venting about her daily tasks or about how they are envious of your freedom/going out with friends, don't say, "If you need a break, why dont you go to your moms?" 

• Never ask "Why is he/she crying or so fussy?"

• It's probably not a good idea to say to a mom who's been dealing with a fussy baby that she is having a meltdown too

• Don't ever wake a new mom when she's napping. --Sleep is sacred.

 So funny... Jacob and I just had this discussion. I've asked him several times to change a diaper or hold Jack and he says ,"I've gotta go poop, hold on." Seriously?! lol!

34 Weeks and A Little Hubby Funny :o)

PREGNANCY STATS UPDATE

How far along: 34Weeks, 1 Day

Size of Baby: Size of a butternut squash {anywhere from 4.2-5.8 lbs and up to 18.7 inches long!}

Total weight gain: +31 lbs... FEELING IT!
 
Maternity clothes? Not a chance without them now! Even some of my maternity clothes are getting tight!
 
Stretch marks? Not yet- been using Arbonne's Firming Cream and Sugar Scrub
 
Sleep: Getting more uncomfortable... and its hard to roll around in bed too!

Best moment this week: Hasn't happened yet~ but maternity photos tomorrow and baby shower this weekend! But I did have a Dr. appt today and everything looked good and was right on track! Heartbeat was at 147 bpm, belly measured at 34!

Miss Anything? Cookie Dough. I have a box of cookie dough in my fridge that I normally would put in the microwave and melt slightly before eating... ahh i miss that!!
 
Movement: Definitely stronger movements, but he's running out of room! He more pushes and shoves now.
 
Food cravings: Craving pop all the time! Fruit, chocolate pudding.
 
Gender: Boy
 
Labor Signs: No
 
Symptoms: Swollen feet and hands. Achy feet/legs/hips at the end of the day or after standing a lot. Fatigue is back!
 
Belly Button in or out? Flattening out.
 
Wedding rings on or off? Off
 
Looking forward to: Maternity Photos tomorrow and baby shower this weekend! 

 
Milestones: Can recognize certain songs I sing to him!

Jacob is doing well after his surgery! I was surprised at how quick he's bounced back. Still will be a few weeks before he can do any "real" help around the house or the lawn, or resume his normal outdoor activities and exercise. He's been having "cravings" for chocolate cream pie from Shari's lately! Which is weird because he NEVER eats chocolate stuff--- always fruity desserts! So funny. He went to Shari's at 10:00 pm two nights in a row and told the staff he needed the pie for his pregnant wife at home. So I snapped some pictures of him chowing it down- which I found hilarious- because he's the one with the cravings and not me! 

 Chocoalte Cream Pie anyone?

 Seriously, stop taking pictures!

Marriage Editions!

Tuesday Ramblings From An Old Married Couple:

• Someone said "Boo...Hiss..." on the tv. Jacob comments: "That's so you Tiff."  Lol.
•  
• Jacob: "I've been looking better than average lately I think." -- That made me laugh. But yes dear, I think you have been too. :o)
•  
• Me: (singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You) " I think I had too much sugar." Jacob: (looks up from the computer with little expression) "Apparently."
•  
• There is no door on our bedroom bathroom. And I swear Jacob ONLY walks in the bedroom when I'm using it. And he proceeds to freak out every time he walks in on me.  It's quite ridiculous.
• Please for the love of God put a door on that bathroom honey!!!! 
•  
• This week I yelled at a lady in McDonald's drive thru. (pregnancy hormones I guess!) I really wanted an iced coffee, since I have not had one sip since I became pregnant. We were on our way to church and waited in line FOREVER while this lady couldnt figure out what she wanted. The line next to us went through like 6 cars before I lost it, rolled down my window, and yelled "HURRY UP LADY!" Lol!! SO NOT LIKE ME. Jacob was slightly scared. haha!

Marriage Edition: Random Conversations In The Morning

Scene Setting: Cuddling in bed this morning after his 6 am workout
Jacob: "My armpits smell."
Me: No response. Eye's closed.
Jacob: (exclaiming all the sudden) "That's why you're cuddling with me! My pheromones!"
Me: "I don't smell you."
Jacob: "It's your brain. It smells them and then tells you you'd better get close to me."

Marriage Edition~ I've been replaced....

I think I may have some new competition in the house....

















The addition of "Siri" to our household seems to have captured my husbands heart.

Jacob: "Siri, is it cold outside?"
Siri: "It's not too cold out." Shows the current weather on screen.

Jacob: "Siri, I'm hungry"
Siri: "I found 4 restaurants close to where you are" Pulls up a map on screen.

Jacob: "Siri, remind me to call the doctors office at 10 am tomorrow."
Siri: "Here's your reminder tomorrow, shall I set this appointment?" Shows reminder/calendar on screen.
(Jacob has an epiphany: "I don't ever need you to remind me about anything ever again! Me, secretly thinking "Thank God." :o)

Jacob: "Siri, I love you."
Siri: "You hardly know me."

HA! At least I know she won't really love him back.... not yet at least. I hear these things develop their own personality with time. Crreeeepppy.

In other marriage news: we're currently fighting about what to make for dinner when we're hunting this week. We have two nights left to decide on food. I say easy- pizza one night, hot dogs the other.
Jacob wants- lasagna, stew, hamburgers... things that require more preparation.

Me: "Pizza Tuesday- Hot dogs Saturday. Easy.
Jacob: "This is stressing me out, can we write it all out. I'm afraid we wont have enough"
Me: "Trust me, I've got it figured out. You will not starve.We've got plenty of food. Soup, bread, peanut butter, sandwich stuff, etc..."
Jacob: "That's not how I like to eat in the mountains."
Me: "Hot dogs?"
Jacob:" They're not filling enough."
Me: "Hot dogs and chili."
Jacob: "Chili gives me...."
Me: "Everything gives you...."
Jacob: Leaves room mad.
Me: "I dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on food.
Jacob: "You dont want my advice so I'm done.
Me: " I could make tacos?..."

Saturday nights menu is still undecided....
