Jacob, my dad, and my brother all love peach cobbler. Jacob loves any kind of fruity dessert. I'm not a huge fan of the fruity desserts, I generally stick to chocolate! However, I do really like this peach cobbler recipe. It's delicious and super easy!

Conversations at the pool
I'm inherently a quiet person. Shy. Not very talkative. I'd rather observe and listen. I'm not usually the one carrying a conversation. That's just the way I am.
Somehow when I'm out in public I attract strangers that ARE talkative. They want to tell me their life story and know all about mine. Maybe it's because they sense I'll listen to them- who knows! And most of the time I dont mind listening to someone talk about how they just had a hip-replacement and want to lose 100 lbs, or what book they just finished, or what college scouts have been pestering them to go to their school... and then there's the times when I just want to go do my workout in the pool, in peace.
Here are some questions I've had lately at the pool:
- Are you a stay at home mom? (I've actually been told I "look" like a mom since I was in High School. Don't really know what that means!)
- Do you have a boyfriend? (Ha! I wish I still looked like I was in High School)
- Are you going to have kids? My answer: Yes -- Their Replies: "Oh, well you'll be sorry!" "There goes all your money" -- To that I reply in my head, "Ha! You have NO idea about there goes all your money when it comes to kids."
- Do you like Justin Bieber (I just find this hilarious. And No I dont!)
I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting! I tend to block out most of the jib jab and focus on working out. But somethings you just can't forget! Jacob tells me I should try reverse psychology when people ask if I plan on having kids. You know, tell them "No, I really don't think we will." Then they will likely say, "Oh you will be missing out, they are such a blessing!" Hee hee. I think he's right! :o)
On another note, I made these tacos Monday and they are DELICIOUS.

Gluten Free Cake: A review
My friend Shannon gave me this cake mix~ and asked me to write a review for her friend and owner of Greenies in Kennewick! I haven't checked out their store yet, but I plan to soon!
About The Cake:
This cake mix was absolutely wonderful! I do not have a bad thing to say about it. I have been Gluten Free for a little over a month now, and find that the snacks/desserts are often the hardest to get the taste right on. With this Life Tastes Good brand the cake baked perfectly, was rich, and had a great cake consistency-which is one of the problems when cooking without flour. The mix was quick and easy as well! Perfect for birthdays or a quick dessert with friends! I can say with certainty that I would prefer this mix over a regular cake mix.
I tested this GF mix on a few different people; my mom, husband, friend, as well as my 2 year old nephew and 4 year old niece.
Not one person noticed it was Gluten Free and everyone went back for seconds! My husband was actually shocked when I told him it was GF! I really doubted my niece and nephew would like it, being the picky eaters they are, but they devoured it!
Adult approved...Kid approved!
Highly Recommend This Mix!
P.S. I recommend the Rainbow Chip Frosting for this cake!

Yay for Spring!
Yesterday brought nice weather {finally!}
Jacob bought a treager
{which I didn't think was a big deal until he cooked on it}
But let me tell you... it's amazing! I don't think I'll ever use my oven again! Not to mention the fact that Jacob actually WANTS to cook now! :o)We dusted off the patio furniture and umbrella and ate outside

Brownie Pops
I was going to make these for Valentine's Day and then just ran out of time so I made them this weekend!
So simple to make although they were a little bit harder to keep together than I expected-- I'll have to work on finding a better way to keep the sticks in them- but most of them worked pretty good! I guess they have actual brownie pop molds out there but I just used my hands!
After the brownies are cooked and molded into the balls, I stuck the lollipop sticks in them and dipped them in melted chocolate (I just used baking chocolate and white chocolate chips), then sprinkled them with sprinkles!
They're SUPER yummy~and CUTE too! :o) Perfect for parties or birthdays!
{ENJOY!}
