25 Weeks and the crib is up!

PREGNANCY STATS UPDATE

How Far Long? 25 Weeks

 

Size of Baby? Baby is about the size of an eggplant!

Total Weight Gain? +15 lbs

Maternity Clothes? Both... but my maternity jeans are MUCH more comfortable!

Sleep? This week sleep has been uncomfortable with back/tailbone pain and getting in a comfty position.

 

Food Cravings?  Easter Candy :o)

Stretch Marks? None yet

Gender? BOY!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Decorating the nursery more and baby showers coming this summer!

 

Highlight Of The Week: Getting the crib up and the bedding in the mail!

Weekly Wisdom: Do projects a little at a time. I feel like I overdo it sometimes with the big projects at the house and then I'm completely exhausted by bedtime.

Milestones:Baby knows which way is up or down and is growing more hair and fat too! If you could see his hair you could discern the texture and color!

 

Symptoms: Dry, stuffy/bloody nose. Backaches when on feet too long. Sometimes I can't breathe very well when he's pushing on my lungs.

Belly button in or out: In- but definitely stretching out!

The bedding came in. Forest Friends theme~so cute!

We'll use this dresser as a changing station too.

 We still need to work on how we want to set up the room exactly, but I think the colors all coordinate nicely and I love the look of the crib and dresser! I want to steal the dresser for my own room! haha! Now we just need a mattress and some decorations for the walls!

Though I'd share some random cute photos from the past couple weeks! I had a baby shower today to celebrate my good friend Katie and her upcoming baby boy... can't wait to get the pictures so I can share them~ it was very cute!

24 Weeks!

Wow~ can't believe 24 weeks have FLOWN by! Only 16 weeks left to go. Talk about scary! We registered this past weekend and bought a few baby things, which i'll post about later. It was a fun time, but a whirlwind. I came home not knowing what the heck we bought or registered for! haha!

How Far Long? 24 Weeks, 1 Day

Size of Baby? Size of an ear of corn!

Total Weight Gain? +13~ yikes! :o)

Maternity Clothes? Mostly my regular clothes but some maternity. Finally purchased a pair of maternity jeans. MUCH more comfortable than the hairband around the button!

Sleep? Sleeping like a rock at night and going to bed earlier.

Food Cravings?  Oreos & anything chocolate & peanut butter

Stretch Marks? None yet- but trying to exfoliate and lotion my belly!

Gender? BOY!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Dr. appointment tomorrow!

Highlight Of The Week: Registering at Babies R Us and ordering our crib and bedding!

Milestones: Jack's face is almost fully formed and fat is starting to store in his body under his skin now. He is at the stage now where he will be gaining about 6 ounces each week!

Symptoms: Dry, stuffy/bloody nose. Backaches when on feet too long.

Belly button in or out: In- but definitely stretching out!!

23 Weeks!

How Far Long? 23 Weeks, 2 Days

Size of Baby? Size of a large mango.

Total Weight Gain? +12.8! 

Maternity Clothes? Mostly my regular clothes but some maternity

Sleep? Sleeping great some nights and not at all other nights.

Food Cravings? Fruit, Oreos, anything chocolate & peanut butter

Stretch Marks? None yet- but trying to exfoliate and lotion my belly!

Gender? BOY!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Registering this weekend!

Highlight Of The Week: Pulling off a surprise party for my mom! ( I know, not baby related, but oh well!)

Weekly Wisdom: Stretch and go to the chiropractor if needed. It's a back saver!

Milestones: Can see baby squirm from the outside of my belly now! Blood vessels in baby's lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that baby ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. (Jack moved around the other day when a balloon popped in the car! I think it scared him!)

Symptoms: Dry, stuffy/bloody nose. Backaches when on feet too long.

Belly button in or out: In- but definitely stretching out!!

22 Weeks!

22 WEEKS! 

(Only 18 weeks to go!)

Size of Baby? Size of a spaghetti squash! And weighs about a pound now! 

Total Weight Gain?  9 lbs

Maternity Clothes? Mostly my regular clothes but I have a bag of maternity clothes thanks to my friend Jill! 

Sleep? Sleeping great.

Food Cravings? Milkshakes, Oreos, Fruit

Stretch Marks? None yet- but trying to exfoliate and lotion my belly!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Registering for baby gear!

Highlight Of The Week: Jacob putting his hand on my belly and saying "Jackson MOVE!" and he kicked back pretty hard. :o) So cute. Jack has been moving A LOT! I love it.

Weekly Wisdom: Sleep when you're tired.

Milestones: Baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.

Symptoms: Bleeding gums, bloody/stuffy nose, feet cramps, TIRED, stomach is feeling heavy and like all my insides are being pushed and cramped.

JACKSON JAMES

I Couldn't resist posting the ultrasound photos! They're too cute. Jacob, my mom and mother in law got to experience the ultrasound with me! It was so much fun~ the tech was amazing and showed/explained everything. Little BOY looks healthy and happy in there! He's quite the chill little guy- just like his mom and dad! haha!

 I LOVE this one! It looks just like Jacob. He does the same thing in pictures... opens his mouth all wide and smiles like this! Too cute!

 I just think the heart rate is cool-- and how they can see all four chambers, and tell if blood is flowing in and out properly already.

How Far Long? 20 Weeks, 3 Days

Size of Baby? Size of a Banana!

Total Weight Gain?  7 lbs~ I'm officially the heaviest I've ever been at 144 lbs!

Maternity Clothes? Mostly my regular clothes but I have a couple maternity pieces that are pretty comfy.

Sleep? Sleeping great.

Food Cravings? V8 fruit juice in the morning, graham crackers with chocolate frosting, taco bell, cutie oranges, and have been craving McDonald's Iced Coffee~which by the way, the Dr. gave me the ok to indulge in! :o)

Stretch Marks? None yet- but trying to exfoliate and lotion my belly!

Gender? BOY!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Getting the nursery ready!

Highlight Of The Week: Obviously seeing baby on the ultrasound and finding out it's a boy!

Weekly Wisdom: Include your family and friends during your pregnancy. They're just as happy and excited as you are and it's fun to share the journey with them!

Milestones: Hair is growing on babies head! He can hiccup now. From here on out, my uterus will grow approximately one centimeter each week until I deliver! Wow~ get ready baby bump!

Symptoms: Bleeding gums (well one tooth actually) every night while brushing, bloody/stuffy nose.

Tuesday Ramblings From An Old Married Couple:

• Someone said "Boo...Hiss..." on the tv. Jacob comments: "That's so you Tiff."  Lol.

• Jacob: "I've been looking better than average lately I think." -- That made me laugh. But yes dear, I think you have been too. :o)

• Me: (singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You) " I think I had too much sugar." Jacob: (looks up from the computer with little expression) "Apparently."

• There is no door on our bedroom bathroom. And I swear Jacob ONLY walks in the bedroom when I'm using it. And he proceeds to freak out every time he walks in on me.  It's quite ridiculous.
• Please for the love of God put a door on that bathroom honey!!!!

• This week I yelled at a lady in McDonald's drive thru. (pregnancy hormones I guess!) I really wanted an iced coffee, since I have not had one sip since I became pregnant. We were on our way to church and waited in line FOREVER while this lady couldnt figure out what she wanted. The line next to us went through like 6 cars before I lost it, rolled down my window, and yelled "HURRY UP LADY!" Lol!! SO NOT LIKE ME. Jacob was slightly scared. haha!
